Super Bowl XLIII In Blu Ray DVD

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

Just recently we were discussing how crisp sporting events looked on Blu-ray. We started speculating whether the big game, the Super Bowl XLIII, would be released on Blu-ray. No need for speculation: Commemorating this year’s Super Bowl game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardnials, Super Bowl XLIII Champions will be available on Blu-ray. This makes complete sense: Have you ever wondered how many people have bought HDTV specifically for football? I would think many. Whether this idea will work as a new type collectible product is probably in the studio’s hands. Things they would have to consider is: who wins the game, and how good of a game was it? We’ll have to watch the game this Sunday to find that out.

Information On Pedometers

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

If you are starting a walking routine, a smart thing to do is start tracking your daily progress. By using a pedometer, you can track the amount of steps you take per day to help you reach your distance goals whether it be one mile or five miles.

The recommended amount of steps per day is 10,000 steps or approximately 5 miles. But this is only in theory. Here is some of the latest information Dr. Catrine Tudor-Locke recommends:

Classification of pedometer-determined physical activity in healthy adults:

1) Under 5000 steps/day may be used as a “sedentary lifestyle index”
2) 5,000-7,499 steps/day is typical of daily activity excluding sports/exercise and might be considered “low active.”
3) 7,500-9,999 likely includes some exercise or walking (and/or a job that requires more walking) and might be considered “somewhat active.”
4) 10,000 steps/day indicates the point that should be used to classify individuals as “active”.
5) Individuals who take more than 12,500 steps/day are likely to be classified as “highly active”.

The cost of typical pedometers ranges from $10 to $25. Many pedometers include a calorie burner approximation and a step counter. Your pedometer will be used to track the number of calories burned during your workout and how far you have walked during this workout. Keep the pedometer on and continue to track your steps rest of your day. Common brand name pedometers include Omron, Oregon Scientific and Sportline.

So, do you need an upscale pedometer? That’s up too you. You may not need a fancy talking, a digital, or calorie counter pedometer with lots of extras. You can purchase a simple $10 pocket or wrist pedometer that will track your steps just as effectively. Whatever your choice may be, you will be well on your way to improving your health.

Why Buy A Sports Bra

Sunday, January 4th, 2009

Most exercise, even moderate exercise like power walking will put a strain on your breasts. The stress on the sensitive area of the breast can result in stretching and temporary pain of your Cooper’s ligaments. The Cooper’s ligaments is the area of your breast region containing the connective tissues and outer skin. Since your breasts do not have much internal support, there is a strain placed on them from strenuous activities, such as power walking, jogging, running… This can cause saggy breasts. Research suggests that you can reduce the stress on your breasts by 78 percent by wearing the correct sports bra during exercise or other sports and activities.

Sports bras will provide the extra support needed to avoid excessive bouncing of your breasts while exercising or in any sports activity. This extra support will result in less pain and stress on your breasts. Sports bras are designed to hold your breasts firmly in place and allow you a full range of movement. Most sports bras are made in different fabrics designed to repel moisture from your skin. Sports bras also come in many different styles so you can choose one that is based on your personal activity.
